Meet The Members

Look for this monthly post where you can meet the members of the Rapid Ann Garden Club. We're starting with members who have the longest standing and working our way down. They may share a precious memory, offer gardening wisdom, recommend a book or who knows...

Pauline Vismer

2016 - present

I joined the Rapid Ann Garden Club in 2016 with a desire to learn how to grow vegetables. I haven't learned that yet! However, I have become fascinated with learning so much about floral gardening and design which, I now understand, is a goal of the club. I am still somewhat intimidated by the amazing creativity of many club members, but I am learning and enjoy participating in the activities. This is such a warm and supportive group of women and I look forward to each and every meeting.

Maruchi Moreth

2016 - present

My passion are trees, Big Trees, and I have had the privilege of planting them in three continents; I started as young girl planting and watering trees with my grandmother. In New Jersey where I lived for 43 years I arranged flowers for a Club I belonged to as well as the flowers arrangements for our the local hospital there for years and I have enjoyed making and donating my arrangements for November banquets to the League for Women Voters. I never had any training on this subject and all I do is informal. In Virginia,I live on a farm and continue trying to make a park-like setting in it. I joined the Rapidan Garden Club in 2016 and have enjoyed learning about formal arrangements. I also love all manner of perennials.
